SCRET Diver Roles, Responsibilities and Training Requirements
There are multiple roles for all the divers involved with accomplishing a SCRET dive. These roles range from support diver to deep, exploration diver. Each has its own set of training and responsibilities.
- Monitors mixed gas divers during decompression
- Provides communication with surface support
- Dives nitrox on all SCRET exploration dives
- Does not accrue decompression when supporting a SCRET dive
- First Aid & CPR certified
- Survey and video tape known wrecks
- Support exploration divers
- Dives nitrox or trimix on SCRET exploration dives
- Decompression averages 20 – 50 minutes
- Carries 1 – 2 deco bottles
- First Aid & CPR certified
- Provides deep exploration and video tape of known and new wrecks
- Dives trimix on SCRET exploration dives
- Decompression averages 45 – 75 min
- Carries 1 – 3 deco bottles
- First Aid & CPR certified
