SCRET Procedures - continued
SCRET has a standardized set of procedures that are followed on every dive.
Some of the more important procedures include:
- Safety support - 1 support diver/team - Support diver gears up immediately after team descends and enters water at expected turnaround time or if it appears the deep team is returning early - Ensures everyone is present and OK - Communicates with surface support - Carries extra deco gas - Cleans the divers in water (scooters, cameras, stages, etc.)
- Decompression - Divers plan gas mixtures and volume requirements - All divers use the same decompression mixes and volumes - Divers return to up-line for deco whenever possible - Divers not returning to the up-line shoot a bag and drift while the chase boat follows with a safety diver
With standard procedures, everyone understands their role and responsibilities
